My story · The opening chapter

Let's Start at the Beginning.

It's the fourth-grade talent show. I'm standing onstage, singing in front of a room full of people, and something becomes clear. I had always loved to sing. That day, my family realized there was something more in my voice, too.

By twelve, I was recording music. At sixteen, I released my first independent project, Who I Am, and spent my free time selling CDs. I was young, but I understood something instinctively: music was how I made sense of myself. It was where I could be honest before I always had the words to explain what I felt.

I kept singing. I performed at open mics and carried music with me through every version of my life. But growing up has a way of asking us to become many things. I went to college. I worked with fashion startups. I built a career across higher education, marketing, strategy, and technology consulting. I learned how to help shape other people's ideas and bring complicated visions to life.

All the while, my own songs waited for me.

They were written in different rooms and different seasons, sometimes years apart. They held the questions I was asking about love, identity, purpose, disappointment, healing, and freedom. They reflected who I was, but more often, they revealed the woman I was still becoming.

For a long time, I believed returning to music required perfect timing. I thought I needed more resources, more certainty, a clearer plan, or some unmistakable sign that I was ready. But the truth is, music never asked me to have everything figured out. It only asked me to be honest.

So now, I'm choosing it. I'm choosing to share the work while I am still becoming. I'm choosing to let the songs live outside of me. I'm choosing to trust that a life does not need to be finished before it can become a story worth telling.

Maybe that's what these songs have always been.

Little snapshots of a life unfolding. Honest moments. Questions without immediate answers. Chapters of a story I was still learning how to tell.

These songs are simply the pages I've chosen to share.

As you listen, I hope they remind you that your own story is still being written, too.

Welcome.

I'm so glad you're here.
